You may have heard of all of the Vitamin C benefits. It’s the number one thing friends, family have recommended to you when you told them you have a cold or are coming down with one. I’m sure you’ve also been told that it is a strong anti-oxidant. Those are great vitamin c benefits are just the tip of the iceberg. It’s easy and can be tasty.Scurvy is a severe form of vitamin C deficiency but is rare in this day and age. People who get it now are usually malnourished living in impoverished countries. Other sources of vitamin c are cauliflower, cabbage, winter squash, and pineapples An excellent source of vitamin c can be found in lemons, in fact if you squeeze the juice of 1 or 2 lemons in water then you will get the vitamin intake you need. If you don’t get enough fruits and vegetables in your day or you need a boost of vitamin c to fight or prevent a cold then consider supplementing. You can check your local health food store or online stores for recommended brands. I started supplementing with vitamin c to get more anti-oxidants to fight acne and to help prevent colds which I was catching more because I was stressed.
